Once upon a time not long ago, there lived a guy named Grant Hill who could straight ball. During the 1996-1997 NBA season, Hill averaged 21 points, 9 rebounds and 7+ assists a game…. like I said, straight baller. But then career threatening injuries repeatedly screwed up what could have been one of the best basketball careers ever. Anyhow, the man had a shoe deal with Fila. Yeah…. if you are under about 24-25 years old, you probably never new Fila had a basketball shoe. The Fila “ninety6″ was pretty much the company’s flagship basketball shoe, which happened to be one of the incarnations of the Grant Hill signature shoe.
